Eugene P. Stutts, a senior partner with Spain & Gillon, concentrates in business, commercial and personal injury litigation. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1967 and has been actively engaged in the practice of law since 1969. He served as law clerk to U.S. District Judge H.H. Grooms in 1966 and for two years following that was chief of intelligence with the United States Army, Provost Marshall Office. He has served as president of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and has been an active lecturer on behalf of various continuing legal education programs. He is a member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club and the Monday Morning Quarterback Club. Mr. Stutts graduated from the University of Alabama in 1965 and received his LL.B. in 1967 from the University of Alabama. He is a member of Birmingham Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, American Bar Association, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association Board of Directors from 1979-1982, vice president from 1984-1986, secretary-treasurer from 1989-1990 and president from 1991-1992. Mr. Stutts has achieved an AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell. |
