Mr. Cavallucci joined Harris in 1990. He was previously vice president counsel for the company's government-related businesses, Harris Government Communications Systems Division and Harris RF Communications Division, and he also served as director of Business Conduct for Harris.
Prior to joining Harris, he served as vice president general counsel and secretary for DBA Systems, Inc., in Melbourne, Florida. Previously, he was a partner in a Melbourne law firm. Before entering private practice in 1980, he spent seven years on active duty with the U.S. Air Force. In his last assignment, he served as Chief of Contracts at the Eastern Space and Missile Center, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida.
Mr. Cavallucci earned a bachelor's degree in labor management relations from Penn State University and a law degree from Penn State's Dickinson School of Law. He also earned a master's of law degree in government procurement law from George Washington University Law Center.
Mr. Cavallucci is admitted to practice in Florida and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American and Florida Bar Associations. He has served as Florida State co-chairperson of the Public Contract Law Section of the American Bar Association, and chair of the South Brevard County Bar Grievance Committee. He has been a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) since 1978 and was elected an NCMA Fellow in May 1992.
He is an adjunct professor at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida, where he has taught graduate courses in government contract administration and contract negotiations. He is also on the Board of Overseers of Florida Tech's School of Business.
Mr. Cavallucci serves on the Legal Committee of the Aerospace Industries Association and the Law Council of the Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI. He formerly served as Chair of the Government Contracts Council of the Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI. While serving as the Harris Director of Business Conduct, he was a member of the Defense Industry Initiative (DII) Working Group. |
