Eva Sage-Gavin is Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, of Gap Inc. In her role as Chief People Officer, she sets the strategy for the company's communications and human resources operations worldwide, including staffing, diversity, rewards, recognition, employee benefits, learning and development, strategic change, social responsibility and internal and external communications.
Sage-Gavin joined Gap Inc. in March 2003. Previously, she worked at Sun Microsystems, where she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and at Disney Consumer Products, a division of The Walt Disney Company, where she also was Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In addition, she has served in various senior human resources leadership positions for The PepsiCo Corporation, including its Taco Bell division, and for Xerox Corporation.
A supporter of several educational and nonprofit organizations, Sage-Gavin is active in her community and serves on a number of industry group boards. In 2002, the Santa Clara YWCA gave her a Talented Women in Industry award. Sage-Gavin serves on the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations Advisory Board and was recently named chair of the Cornell Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies Advisory Board. She also works with the President's Council of Cornell Women, Alumnae Relations Committee.
Additionally, Sage-Gavin serves on the advisory board of the University of Southern California's Center for Effective Organizations and is a member of the Human Resource Policy Association Board of Directors.
Sage-Gavin holds a bachelor's degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. |
