Evan Studer joined Sunstone Hotel Properties in October 1996 as the vice president of sales & marketing. In December 1998, he was promoted to the senior vice president of operations and in November 1999 was announced as the executive vice president of operations. His responsibilities include full oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Sunstone hotel portfolio and the operating and financial success of Sunstone. Studer has accumulated 35 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, working through nearly every property level position and has supervised the opening of a significant number of hotels over the past 20 years. Prior to joining Sunstone, he was the regional vice president of operations and sales for Vista Host, Inc, a well-established Houston based hotel management company. Studer began his hotel career with Winegardner & Hammons, Inc., a long time hotel franchisee and operating company based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Studer has served on a number of committies for various hotel brands throughout his tenure in the industry. He is a certified instructor of the Integrity Selling program, and a graduate assistant of the well known Dale Carnegie course. He was acknowledged as the vice president of tourism in Pensacola, Florida while holding a regional director position over four hotels. Studer is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University holding a Bachelor of Science degree with a mathematics major and a business minor. |
