Evan J. Kaufman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1992. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1995 where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal.
After Law School, Mr. Kaufman practiced commercial litigation at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Kaufman served as a financial adviser at two prominent Wall Street investment banks. In 2000, Mr. Kaufman co-founded and ran bCorner.com, Inc., an ecommerce loyalty solutions company. Mr. Kaufman joined Abbey Gardy, LLP as an associate in 2001 where he worked on high profile complex litigation cases in federal and state courts, including securities class actions, derivative actions, consumer fraud actions and Delaware shareholder actions. Mr. Kaufman joined the Firm in 2005 and continues to focus his practice on shareholder and consumer fraud actions.
Mr. Kaufman is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York. Mr. Kaufman is a member of the American Bar Association.
