Fernando Fernandez de Cordova serves as Executive Vice President & Managing Director, Mexico/Latin America in DHR's Mexico City office. He brings with him over 13 years of extensive executive search experience. Fernando has a track record of providing: visionary yet practical consulting advice; local touch with an international reach; profound knowledge of the local market coupled with its impact globally; and productivity oriented vision. Fernando understands business from the ground up. The technical side he learned at Deloitte Plender Haskins & Sells by working in Audit, Taxes, and then Consulting. He honed the managerial side as VP, Finance and Deputy General Manager at Liquid Carbonic de Mexico, a subsidiary of General Dynamics. He became a seasoned CEO in his post as General Manager, Consultora Mexicana, a conglomerate of 10 companies, including the two largest GM dealers in Mexico, pharmaceutical laboratories, medical equipment, and real estate firms. Fernando serves on various committees of the Board of Directors for both Mexican and foreign firms. He has held a number of posts including VP and Member of the Board at the Mexican Institute of Financial Executives, Member and Speaker of the AMEDIRH (Association of Human Resources Directors), and The Conference Board. He is a frequent speaker at conferences for Top Management, Human Resources and Finance fields. Recently, he led and acted as lecturer for IMEF (Mexican Institute of Finance Executives) during a Corporate Governance and Risk Management seminar. Fernando earned his CPA Degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and then went on to study Business Administration at the same institution. Additionally, he attended the MBA program at the University of Kansas. For more than 20 years he taught business courses at his Alma Mater and for 3 years at the Iberoamericana University. |
