Finis Conner, Chairman of StorCard, Inc. is pivotal in bringing almost 30 years of experience in design, manufacturing and sales experience of hard disk drives to StorCard. Finis Conner co-founded Shugart Associates in 1973, where they produced and sold 8" floppy and hard (HDD) disc drives. The company was sold to Xerox Corporation in 1977. In 1979, Conner co-founded Seagate Technology where he conceived the original 5 1/4" Winchester disc drive. Seagate was the first company to receive the Entrepreneur Company Award by both Harvard and the Stanford Business Schools in 1984. In 1986, he founded Conner Peripherals, Inc., Fortune magazine's pick for "America's fastest-growing company." Conner Peripherals was the first to develop and manufacture 3 1/2" and 2 Winchester disk drives used in personal computers. He led the growth of the company to $1.4 billion in its 4th year of sales and $2.7 billion in its 10th year when Seagate acquired the company. Anil Nigam Chief Technical Officer Mr. Nigam has an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and has worked in the computer data storage industry for over 30 years. Mr. Nigam holds 16 US Patents and has authored two technical papers. He was a founder and Vice-President of Engineering at SyQuest Technology, where he was responsible for products that generated revenues of over $200 million in annual sales. He co-founded Antek Peripherals Inc. and Flextor Corporation and developed a technology for a high speed, high capacity floppy disk drive product. This technology was licensed to both US and Japanese manufacturers. Prior to joining SyQuest Technology, Mr. Nigam held senior management positions with Memorex Corporation. |
