Firas Nasir is a Managing Director in the Middle East and North Africa group, focusing on opportunities in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE. He is based in Dubai.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Nasir was an Executive Director at UBS Investment Bank, where he specialized in advising high technology, media, communication equipment, industrial and services companies on M&A and LBO transactions. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at CSFB where he advised oil & gas, retail, consumer products, high technology, heavy equipment, manufacturing and construction materials companies on a range of M&A and LBO transactions, as well as equity and debt financings. Prior to CSFB, Mr. Nasir was a Project Development Manager in the Industrial & Power Projects division of Arabian Bemco, one of the largest construction companies in the Middle East, where he helped develop power and industrial projects.
Mr. Nasir earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, M.S. from Columbia University and B.S. from Rutgers University. |
