Mr. Yarbrough is the Managing Partner of Carrington Coleman. He has an extremely varied litigation practice which emphasizes complex business-related disputes. His practice has involved a wide range of subject matters including securities, corporate, banking and financial, lender liability, and trademark and unfair competition matters; defense of professional malpractice claims; defense of director and officer liability claims; corporate governance issues; and business disputes arising in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Yarbrough's securities litigation experience has included overall responsibility for complex lawsuits arising out of public offerings, alleged securities fraud, alleged misuse of insider information, issues concerning registration, and broker-dealer/customer disputes. He has extensive experience in litigation and counseling concerning corporate-law disputes, including mergers and acquisitions, control contests, and special committee, director, and officer fiduciary duties, as well as corporate governance issues. In the area of banking and financial litigation, Mr. Yarbrough has defended financial institutions and their directors and officers, attorneys, and accountants against claims by government agencies and others. He has defended a number of law firms against malpractice and other claims. Mr. Yarbrough has been recognized by Texas Monthly magazine as a "Super Lawyer" in business litigation each year since that award began in 2003, and was ranked in the top 100 of all Texas lawyers in business litigation. He is also listed in the 2006-2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, in Bet-the-Company litigation, commercial litigation, corporate governance and compliance law, and legal malpractice law.
