Francelino Pereira dos Santos - 86 earned a law degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 1949. He was Senator for Minas Gerais state from 1995 to 2002 and Governor of Minas Gerais State from 1979 to 1983. He was a member of the Brazilian Congress for four successive terms of office from 1963 to 1979 and member of the legislature of the city of Belo Horizonte from 1951 to 1954. From 1961 to 1966 he was Chief of Cabinet to the Minas Gerais State Secretary for Internal Affairs and Justice; Head of the General Administration Department of the State of Minas Gerais and Chief Advisor to the Governor on Municipal Affairs. From 1985 to 1990 he was Vice-president for Administration at Banco do Brasil S.A. and was chief executive officer of Acesita from October 1983 to August 1984. He was also a professor and director of the Municipal Accounting High School in Belo Horizonte from 1955 to 1959. |
