Fran Critzman has practiced law since 1989, and in particular, the Section 103 area of arbitrage, rebate and other tax matters since 1992. She has served as bond counsel, as well as counsel to regional and national banks, underwriting firms and not-for-profit entities. She has worked on various bond structures, including variable rate demand bond programs, credit enhanced bond programs and bonds placed directly with banks. Mrs. Critzman has also worked on many types of tax-exempt bonds including governmental bonds to finance infrastructure and public projects for local governments; qualified 501(c)(3) bonds to finance headquarter buildings, area attractions, schools, hospitals, continuing care retirement communities and other charitable facilities; qualified small issue bonds for manufacturing facilities; and tax-exempt facility bonds for housing, airports and other facilities. She has also provided legal services regarding securities and Blue Sky laws in connection with municipal bonds.Prior to joining Miles & Stockbridge, Mrs. Critzman practiced in the areas of corporate and partnership law, administrative law, including liquor licensing, and 501(c)(3) tax law.
