Francis Contino is Executive Vice President - Strategic Planning of McCormick & Company, Inc. From the beginning of his career with McCormick & Company, Inc. in 1998 and until the announcement of his retirement in July 2008, Mr. Contino also held the title of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining McCormick, Mr. Contino was Managing Partner of the Baltimore office of Ernst & Young and Leader for the Consumer Products Industry for the Mid-Atlantic area. Born in Baltimore, Mr. Contino graduated from the University of Maryland. He began his career with Ernst & Young in 1968. Mr. Contino is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of The Audit Committee of Mettler Toledo International, Inc., a leading global supplier of precision instruments and services. He is a member of the AICPA and the Working Council for Chief Financial Officers of the Corporate Executive Board. Mr. Contino completed the Executive Leadership Education Program at The Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Committed to community service, he is the Past President of the Board of Catholic Charities of Baltimore, a Board member of the B&O Railroad Museum, and a Board member of the new Cristo Rey Jesuit High, a school for underprivileged inner-city youth in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Contino is a graduate of the Leadership Program sponsored by the Greater Baltimore Committee and was honored in 1999 as a Distinguished Alumnus of The Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, where he also serves on the Board of Visitors. |
