Frank Mood, 68, is a native of Summerton, South Carolina. He earned a B.A. degree in political science from The Citadel and his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School. Mood joined SCANA in January 2005 following a 37-year career with the Columbia law firm Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. He served as president of the firm from 1984 to 1992. Well respected and recognized within the legal community of South Carolina, Mood served as Interim Dean of the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003. He is a permanent member of the Judicial Conference of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Additionally, Mood served as chairman of the South Carolina Board of Law Examiners from 1973 to 1982. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina State Bar and the Richland County Bar Association. Mood currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Liberty Fellowship, The Citadel Foundation and the Columbia Urban League. He is a past chairman of The Citadel Board of Visitors. |
