Francis Buzz Raborn recently retired from United Defense, L.P. He was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Defense at the beginning of 1994 with the formation of the Company, and was appointed to its board of directors 1997.
Mr. Raborn had an extensive career with United Defense and its predecessor company, FMC, dating back to 1977. He he served as FMC�s Defense Systems Group Controller in Santa Clara, Calif., where he was responsible for leading the financial planning for the four defense divisions.
Before joining FMC, Mr. Raborn worked in a financial capacity with Chemetron Corporation and Ford Motor. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for more than five years as a command center duty director and an F-4 Phantom pilot, including tours of duty in Viet Nam and Japan.
Mr. Raborn is a member of the Financial Executive Institute and the Aerospace Industries Association Procurement and Finance Council.
He received a B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania�s Wharton School and and MBA from University of California-Los Angeles. He also holds a CMA certificate. He and his wife, Marcia, have two children and live in Great Falls, Virginia. |
