, Mr. Callaghan became President of St. Jude Medical's Cardiovascular Division in January 2008. He joined St. Jude Medical as Vice President of Research and Development for the Atrial Fibrillation Division in 2005 as part of the Endocardial Solutions acquisition.
At Endocardial Solutions, Mr. Callaghan spent 10 years as Vice President of Research and Development for this Minnesota-based cardiac electrophysiology company. In this role, he led R&D activities from early-stage concept through clinical trials into market launches.
Mr. Callaghan previously held senior roles with Telectronics Pacing Systems and Cordis Corporation.
Mr. Callaghan has an M.S.E.E. degree in electrical engineering and an M.S. degree in biological sciences (physiology) from Purdue University. He holds 21 patents in implantable arrhythmia control systems and electrophysiology. |
