Mr. Bernstein specializes in litigation and client counseling in high technology patent areas, including computers, software, electronics, semiconductors, and e-commerce. His client counseling includes the rendering of prelitigation validity and infringement opinions, and advice on protection of software-related intellectual property in the areas of patent, copyright and trade secrets. Mr. Bernstein also advises clients on licensing issues related to open source software. In addition, he handles patent prosecution in a variety of electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines, as well as computer software and business method patents.
