Frank Van Court joined Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP in 2007 and is a partner in its Real Estate and Banking & Finance Practice groups, specializing in public finance. Mr. Van Court obtained his bachelor of arts from Rice University in 1965 and his juris doctor from The University of Texas School of Law in 1968. After law school, he clerked for Judge Jack Roberts, Federal District Judge for the Western District of Texas in Austin, and then joined a major Houston firm's public finance group. His practice evolved to include significant international business transactions and to management of that firm's London office.
For several years Mr. Van Court left the practice of law and became a merchant and investment banker in London, Houston and Denver, returning to the practice in 1992. He has served on the board of directors of a number of public and private companies and has acted as the CEO of two companies.
Mr. Van Court has been active in his local churches, serving as a deacon and elder and as a leader in Bible study. He married his childhood sweetheart, has two grown sons and two lovely granddaughters. He is an avid golfer and addicted to live theater and opera. He also loves to read, collect books and travel.
