Dr. Frank Lomax, PE, has overseen the engineering, R&D and manufacturing operations for H2Gen since its formation, and is a company founder. He completed both his masters thesis and doctoral dissertation on small-scale hydrogen generation via steam reforming and completed proof of concept experiments for the catalyst and reactor technology used by H2Gen. Prior to founding H2Gen, Frank led the systems analysis for the joint Ford/Mobil onboard gasoline fuel reformer project, and subsequently was the lead reactor engineer on that project. His other previous work focused on product development and manufacturability, mainly for automotive and consumer applications. Frank holds fourteen U.S. patents. He is a registered professional engineer in Virginia. Frank holds a BSE, magna cum laude, in mechanical engineering and a certificate in environmental studies from Princeton University and a Master of Engineering in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech. |
