Fred C. Finney is a board member of Nationwide a $160 billion diversified financial services organization based in Columbus Ohio. He was first elected to the board in 1992 and served as board chairman of Farmland Mutual Insurance Company from 2001 to 2004. He also serves on the boards of other Nationwide companies.
Mr. Finney is president and chief operating officer of Moreland Fruit Farm Ltd. in Wooster OH. He is past president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation the Ohio Fruit Growers Society Wayne County Farm Bureau and the Westwood Ruritan Club. He is a board member of the American Berry Cooperative.
He served on the executive board of the Buckeye Council of the Boy Scouts of America from 1995 to 1997 and was Boy Scout scoutmaster for fourteen years. Mr. Finney still remains active with the local scout troop. He has been a board member Sunday school teacher and finance committee chairman of the Moreland United Methodist Church.
Born in Fort Bragg NC he is a graduate of Smithville (Ohio) High School and earned an agricultural economics degree from The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. |
