Mr. George was appointed President of Gammon Gold Inc (TSX:GAM; AMEX: GRS) in 1997 and added the role of Chairman to his duties as of 2002.

As Chairman and President, Mr. George single handedly facilitated the acquisition and consolidation of the Company's Ocampo District project, one of the largest gold and silver districts in Mexico, and in recent years has successfully raised $890-million with BMO Nesbitt Burns and Scotia Capital for the Company's exploration and development programs.

Under his leadership the company successfully completed its feasibility study as well as the construction of what has become the largest single gold mine producer in Mexico.

In June 2004, Mr. George was responsible for having Gammon Gold Inc. added to the S&P/TSX Composite Index, the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index. Mr. George, on behalf of Gammon Lake Resources Inc., has been the recipient of a number of awards including the "Best Producing and Active Exploration Company" in Mexico, as well as the best performing gold and silver company in the world for 2003 and the first six months of 2004 as rated by Mineweb. In 2006 Mr. George was the recipient of the first ever Community Development Model Award, bestowed by the Governor of Chihuahua Mr. Jose Reyes, in recognition of Gammon Gold's unquestionable business responsibility and unconditional support of the community. Mr. George was also recognized for assisting the economy of the State of Chihuahua by creating 1000 direct jobs and 6000 indirect jobs.

Mr. George is the recipient of a Honorary Citizenship for the country of Mexico for his continuous and valuable contribution to the mining industry and the economy. In 2004, Mr. George received recognition for Gammon Gold's excellent performance from BMO Nesbitt Burns, in the presence of former President of the United States, Honourable William Clinton and former Canadian Ambassador to the United States, Honourable. Frank McKenna.

Mr. George has been successful in listing Gammon Gold Inc. on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the Berlin Stock Exchange, and on September 4, 2003, Mr. George rang the bell at the American Stock Exchange to list the company under the symbol GRS.

Under Mr. George's guidance, Gammon Gold Inc. acquired an interest in Mexgold Resources Inc., and has since then taken Mexgold Resources Inc. from the exploration stage to full blown production. On September 18, 2003, Mexgold Resources Inc. began trading on the TSX-Venture Exchange, and on August 8, 2006, Mr. George successfully merged the two companies together and as a result of his dedication and unfailing determination Mr. George has taken Gammon Gold's market cap from $10-million to over $2-billion in just 5 years.

He has devoted a significant percentage of his career to venture financing and international import-export businesses. He also has many years' experience as a financial and business management consultant, and is considered an expert in relations between Canada and Mexico.
