Fred P. Keller is Chairman of Mackinaw Power. He is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a master's degree in business management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Keller founded Cascade Engineering in 1973, following a 6 year career with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a metallurgist. Cascade Engineering's commitment to excellence under Keller's leadership has been recognized widely in recent years, including designation as Chrysler's 1997 Role Model for Technology (the first U.S. company to be so honored), and induction into the Grand Rapids Public Education Fund Hall of Fame.Keller was also named Michigan Manufacturer of the Year for 1997 by the Michigan Manufacturer's Association, which cited the company's world-class manufacturing excellence along with its commitment to education. In March of 1999, Keller was honored at the White House when he accepted the Ron Brown Award for Corporate Leadership. Keller was also recently named a director of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and is a member of many other various corporate and charitable boards.Keller is married with three children. |
