Fred joined Zappos.com in 1999 and is responsible for all merchandising operations dividing his time between scouting trade shows, signing up new shoe manufacturers, and developing the next generation of world-class merchants by teaching them to listen to and anticipate customer needs and desires and bring exciting product alternatives to their attention. Prior to Zappos, Fred spent over 8 years gaining increasing responsibility through sales, management and buying at Nordstrom, serving most recently as Regional Buyer. At Nordstroms, Fred launched and developed the Couture category and shifted the buying process from single store buying to regional buying, consolidating ideas, trends, decisions and leveraging economies of scale. Fred graduated from Southern Oregon University with a B.S. in Business. |
