Frederick Terry is a senior counsel of Sullivan & Cromwell. A graduate of Williams College (where he was valedictorian of his class) and Columbia Law School (where he was a Kent Scholar and Articles Editor of the Law Review), he clerked for a year in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit before joining Sullivan & Cromwell in 1957. Mr. Terry is a Trustee of the Rockefeller University and Chairman of its Committee on Trust and Estate Gift Plans, a Trustee of Natural Resources Defense Council, and a director of the Eisenhower Fellowships. He is also a trustee of the Harold K. Hochschild Foundation, the McIntosh Foundation, the Weinman Foundation and the Flagler Foundation. He is an executor of the Estate of Paul Mellon and of the Estate of Franklin P. Perdue.
