Frederick C. Kiga is the Director of Corporate and Government Relations for the Russell Investment Group in Tacoma, Washington, where he has overall responsibility for the company�s corporate, community, and government relations.
Prior to joining Russell Investment Group in August 2003, he served as chief of staff to Washington State Governor Gary Locke. In this position, he was responsible for organizing the Governor�s Competitiveness Council, which focused on improving the state�s business climate, and implemented use of an innovative Priorities of Government budget process to address a $2.5 billion deficit without a tax increase. Mr. Kiga has also worked as a consultant with a large accounting firm and was a banker with Washington Mutual.
Mr. Kiga is chair of the University of Washington Board of Regents, a member of numerous professional and civic boards and commissions, including: the Capital Hill Housing Improvement Program, the BOLD Initiative, the Association of Washington Business, the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber, the Pierce County Reading Foundation, and the American Benefits Council Thrive by Five Advisory Committee.
He earned a bachelor�s and master�s degree in business administration and a juris doctor degree from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Washington State bar.
