Frederick W. Reid is a Director of AMB Property Corporation. Mr. Reid is Chief Executive Officer of Virgin America, a new U.S. airline. On April 1, 2004, Mr. Reid retired as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Delta Airlines. Mr. Reid joined Delta in July 1998 as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in May 2001. Before joining Delta, Mr. Reid served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Lufthansa German Airlines from April 1997 to June 1998, as Executive Vice President from 1996 to March 1997 and as Senior Vice President, The Americas from 1991 to 1996. Between 1976 and 1991, Mr. Reid held various management positions at Pan American World Airways and American Airlines, based in Western Europe, the Middle East and South Asia. Mr. Reid holds a B.A. degree in Asian Studies. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in New York, the Board of Directors of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and also serves on the Advisory Board for the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain. |
