Mr. Ahmad has held the position of Chief Financial Officer since June 2005. In his capacity as CFO, Mr. Ahmad is responsible for all aspects related to corporate finance, domestic and international tax and accounting operations, financial and business planning and analysis, budgeting, and global treasury operations. More recently, Mr. Ahmad has also been involved with service provider consolidation and integration efforts.
Mr. Ahmad has been with Globalstar and its predecessor since 1996 where he began in the role of Finance Manager. He played an instrumental part in initial fund raising activities related to building and launching the Globalstar system.
Prior to Globalstar, Mr. Ahmad worked at Transworld Telecommunications, Inc. a private equity financed firm engaged in acquiring telecommunications companies in the United States. At Transworld Mr. Ahmad was a key member of the management team where he directed the financial dealings of the company, leading to the eventual sale of the entire portfolio of Transworld companies to Sprint.
Mr. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. |
