Gagik Apkarian has over 10 years of experience in management consulting and investment banking. His particular expertise are in financial, strategic and operational issues having advised some of the leading companies in the U.S., Europe, and Australia.
Mr. Apkarian worked at McKinsey & Company for several years in New York, Sydney, and Melbourne. During that period he concentrated on strategic, turnaround, and post-merger integration assignments across industries such as manufacturing, industrial products, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and defense.
Mr. Apkarian also has extensive transaction experience in M&A, LBOs, restructurings and capital markets deals. He worked for several years as an investment banker in both New York and London, most recently with Morgan Stanley. During this period he executed over $100 billion of M&A deals and led the execution of a number of complex restructuring deals, which in aggregate had face value of debt in excess of $3 billion. Sectors included healthcare, industrials, telecommunications, media, and defense.
Mr. Apkarian completed his undergraduate degrees at the University of New South Wales, from which he holds a B.Sc. degree with double majors in mathematics and physics and a B.E. in electrical engineering, graduating in the top five percent of his class. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
