Ms. Klapper has served as the Member/Director of the Colorado Forum since 1989. The Colorado Forum is a statewide bipartisan organization of chief executive officers and leading professionals who work on public policy issues related to Colorado. Ms. Klapper is also the Managing Attorney of The Klapper Firm a law firm emphasizing real estate intellectual property transactional work and public policy advocacy. In 1976 she was appointed by President Ford as a White House Fellow and Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Interior. After her term in Washington Ms. Klapper returned to Colorado as a member of Governor Richard D. Lamm�s Cabinet. She served as Executive Director of two Cabinet departments: the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and the Department of Personnel. Ms. Klapper serves on the Board of Orchard Trust Company a wholly owned subsidiary of Great West Life. In addition she serves as a Director of the National Western Stock Show Association. Ms. Klapper manages her family�s 6K Ranch and Tack business in Elbert Colorado and also serves as President of Ward Lake Sales Company a family business that raises Wild Flower Sod a unique product that is distributed throughout the United States. Ms. Klapper received her B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado Law School. Ms. Klapper is a fourth generation Colorado native. |
