Gail Deegan is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Houghton Mifflin Company, a position she held at this leading publisher of textbooks and reference books from 1996 until 2001. She is currently Executive in Residence at both Simmons College School of Management and Babson College. Ms. Deegan serves on the audit committee and the finance committee of the TJX Companies and has previously served on the audit committees of the boards of Houghton Mifflin, Hartford Life, and EG&G. Ms. Deegan is Chair of EMC's Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. She became an EMC Director in July 2002. Ms. Deegan received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the College of Saint Rose in 1968, an M.A. in History from Ohio State University in 1969, and an MBA from Simmons. |
