Ms. Gail Jensen-Bigknife brings to Security Business Bank over a quarter century of local banking experience, including service with California First Bank (now Union Bank of California), San Diego National Bank, Peninsula Bank of San Diego and most recently as the Regional Administrative Manager for US Bank's commercial and business banking operations.
At US Bank, Ms. Jensen-Bigknife was responsible for credit administration, conversion integration, internal controls and issues escalation in the San Diego market. In addition to helping found San Diego National Bank she also managed their Real Estate Department. At Peninsula Bank of San Diego she managed the Real Estate Department and was later promoted to Credit Administrator.
Throughout the course of her career, Jensen-Bigknife has been the recipient of numerous personal achievement awards and honors including the YMCA TWIN Honoree; "Woman of the Year" by the President's Council; and "Woman of Accomplishment" by the Soroptimist International of San Diego. Jensen-Bigknife is also a three-time finalist for the San Diego's Business Journal's "San Diego Women Who Mean Business" award.
Jensen-Bigknife's professional and community involvement includes active participation in the Better Business Bureau, San Diego; the Soroptimist International of San Diego; Boy Scouts of America; and Board Member of Our Lady of Grace Parent Teacher Guild. She is also a former board member of the Urban League of San Diego; and the American Bankers Association Executive committee for Real Estate Finance. Jensen-Bigknife is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from San Diego State with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Business and is a graduate of LEAD San Diego. |
