Galen Thackston is the Principal in Charge for the Environmental Division of Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. Galen graduated in 1991 with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, as well as a Registered Environmental Property Assessor. Galen founded the Environmental Division in 1993 and has served as the leader of that group ever since. He works with clients to solve complex environmental problems in order to enable projects to proceed on schedule. He has been very successful at working with Regulators to negotiate innovative ways to facilitate development projects.Galen�s professional involvement includes the American Society of Professional Engineers; the National Registry of Environmental Professionals; the Business Council of Alabama; and the Environment & Energy Committee. Galen was also involved with the Alabama Department of Public Health Environmental Committee where he served as an appointed member.Galen is married to Kelly Thackston and they have three children, Patrick, Jack and Ben. |
