Galit Kierkut is a partner of the firm in its Litigation Department and a member of the Labor & Employment Law Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in employment litigation and counseling and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Kierkut conducts internal investigations regarding employee complaints, conducts human resources audits and performs management and employee training to identify and resolve concerns in policies and practices, mediates internal employee disputes and counsels her corporate clients generally regarding compliance with state and federal employment laws. She also drafts employee handbooks and contracts. Ms. Kierkut�s employment litigation practice is primarily focused on resolving claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, whistle blowing and employment contract disputes in state and federal courts and before the EEOC. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, she received her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a legal writing instructor. Ms. Kierkut is currently an alumni Vice President of her undergraduate class and an active member of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Secondary School Committee. Ms. Kierkut has recently been appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve on the Fee Arbitration Committee for Essex County. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association as Director of Programming. She is a professional member of the Society for Human Resource Managers and is a member of the Publications Committee of the National Association of Women Lawyers. She is also a member of the Labor and Employment Sections of both the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Association. Ms. Kierkut is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. |
