Garrett is special counsel in the business law department. He counsels public and private company clients on corporate and commercial law matters and represents companies and investment funds in a variety of merger and acquisition, private equity and capital raising transactions. He has represented clients in various industries, including technology, financial services, manufacturing and retail, and has significant experience counseling emerging growth companies on equity and debt financing transactions, formation and structuring issues and securities law matters.
Representative Matters
Represented a private equity fund in a preferred equity investment, debt refinancing and sale of a skin care and wellness treatment franchise.
Counsel to a prominent fashion and accessories retailer on capital raising, structuring and general corporate matters.
Represented a mezzanine debt and preferred equity sponsor in connection with the recapitalization of an internet marketing content and service provider.
Counsel to a publicly trading bottling company on general corporate matters and the negotiation of manufacturing, supply, distribution and other commercial contracts.
Represented the leading on-line lending and realty services exchange in connection with its acquisition of an on-line mortgage lender.
Represented a drug delivery and biopharmaceutical company in a $200 million stock-for-stock acquisition of a privately-held U.K. company and a $200 million cash and stock acquisition of a domestic privately-held company.
