Mr. Manning has been Vice President - Human Resources and General Counsel of the Company since May 1998. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Manning served as Senior Counsel for Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc., a manufacturer of passenger vehicles, since March of 1998. Prior to joining Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc., Mr. Manning was employed for over 8 years with Genuine Parts Company, a diversified wholesale distribution company, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. He served as Assistant General Counsel from July of 1989 until February of 1991. Thereafter, he served as Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Personnel from February of 1991 until February of 1995. He then was promoted to the Industrial Distribution Division of Genuine Parts Company (Motion Industries, Inc.), where he was Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Counsel until leaving the Company in March of 1998.
Mr. Johnson has been with the company since 1979. In 1979, Mr. Johnson worked in the Decatur plant as an operations engineer. In 1980 he began his career in sales as a field sales representative in the Southwestern U.S. After eight years of field sales assignments, Mr. Johnson was promoted to OEM Product Manager and later Industrial Product Manager. He served in this role until 1998 when he was promoted to Vice President-Sales. Mr. Johnson holds a degree from the University of Alabama. |
