Current responsibility
Gary is a principal and consulting actuary with the Atlanta office of Milliman. He began his career with Milliman Services, the data processing service bureau of Milliman, and later transferred to Milliman. After 11 years with Milliman and its affiliates, he left and served as a regional director for the health actuarial practice of a Big Six accounting firm. He rejoined Milliman in 1995.
Experience
During Gary's more than 25 years as a consultant, he assisted Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plans, HMOs, PPOs, hospitals, and long-term care providers. His product development services focus on managed care and HMO commercial products, HMO Medicare supplement and risk contracts, and individual hospital/surgical plans. Gary also provides financial analysis involving merger and acquisition, appraisals of managed care plans, provider reimbursement levels, managed care capitation negotiations, and analysis of impact of provider reimbursement levels. Gary is also a former member of the Financial Advisory Panel of the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission.

Gary served on health benefit committees of the American Academy of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.

Gary is frequently called upon to make presentations on vital healthcare issues at various conferences and trade associations. He has also authored many actuarial articles.
