Gary Polkowitz is experienced at reviewing and evaluating a company's operational performance, advising on strategic alternatives, reviewing cost structures and cash flow requirements and managing the day to day operations of a company. He has overseen the winding down of various companies, including numerous international subsidiaries. He led transactional due diligence, forensic financial investigations and audit efforts in many matters. Gary played an instrumental role in Goldin's assignment as restructuring advisor to Vlasic Foods International, where, among other responsibilities, he acted as Vice President for Finance and oversaw the company's international subsidiaries. He directed the day-to-day operation and liquidation of PSINet Consulting Solutions, Russell Stanley Holdings, Inc., InterBank Funding (a failed merchant bank) and Northshore Asset Management and oversaw their numerous domestic and international subsidiaries. Earlier, he assisted in managing the operations of the Pharmacy Fund during its bankruptcy. He helped lead the forensic financial investigations of IMPATH, Inc. and Student Finance Corporation. Prior to joining Goldin, Gary was a Vice President at Prudential Securities Inc., where his responsibilities included coordinating due diligence and evaluating, monitoring and minimizing risks associated with the firm's lending activities. Also at Prudential, he assisted in structuring and closing numerous asset-based financing transactions. Earlier, Gary was a manager in the financial services group of Ernst & Young LLP, where he was responsible for planning and supervising audit engagements. Gary is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey Certified Public Accountants. He received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Delaware. |
