Gary R. Schminkey joined Columbia Bank in 1993 at the beginning of the Company's expansion into Tacoma-Pierce County. As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he directs the Company's Accounting, Treasury, Operations, Information Services, Data Security, and Risk Management functions.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Schminkey was employed by Puget Sound Bancorp, Puget Sound National Bank and its successor institution for 10 years, having served as Assistant Vice President-Assistant Controller for Puget Sound Bancorp and Vice President-Accounting and Finance for Puget Sound National Bank and its successor institution.
Mr. Schminkey received his undergraduate degree from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pacific Lutheran University.
Mr. Schminkey is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Community involvement has included the Boy Scouts of America, various elementary school tutoring programs and foreign exchange student programs. |
