Gary Smetana joined Warren & Morris Ltd. as a Director, with a focus in the Communications Technology and New Media practice. Gary has successfully completed numerous senior level retained search engagements in the Infrastructure, Internet and Software companies.

Gary brings to the firm his extensive knowledge and executive management experience in the networking products and systems solutions world. He has grown high-tech organizations, and has kept directly involved in the hiring process, successfully matching unique executive skills and personalities with the needs of the corporation.

Gary's impressive and diverse career includes assignments as Development Engineering Manager at IBM's Federal Systems Division; Worldwide Systems Integration Manager at Digital Equipment Corp.; Senior Vice President & General Manager of DataCard Corp. and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Ampersand, Inc.

Gary received his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology and his Masters of Public Administration degree from the State University of New York. Gary is married, with 3 grown children, and lives with his wife in Brookline, New Hampshire. He is a "ham radio" enthusiast and enjoys spending time at his lake house, where he is involved with all water sports and related activities.
