Mr. Shirhattikar joined Prospect in April 2007, and focuses on due diligence and monitoring of mezzanine finance and equity investments, as well as the origination of renewable energy and other leads for the firm.
Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. Shirhattikar spent three years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he provided due diligence services to top-tier private equity firms with a particular emphasis on the pharmaceuticals and energy sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Shirhattikar worked at MPR Associates, a boutique engineering and project management firm in Washington D.C. During his time at MPR, Mr. Shirhattikar gained extensive project development and financing expertise through his work with leading energy clients across multiple sectors (natural gas, coal, nuclear, LNG etc.)
Mr. Shirhattikar graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, Mr. Shirhattikar received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA with Honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Columbia Business School. |
