Gay Johannes, chief quality officer and vice president of release management, joined Cerner Corporation in June 1983. Named Chief Quality Officer in 2004, Johannes is responsible for the quality initiatives throughout the company. She is also executive-in-charge of Cerner�s Release Management organization.
Johannes began her career at Cerner as a programmer analyst and transitioned to product development manager in 1987. From 1991 to 1994, she served as director and product line executive for Cerner Laboratory Solutions and was promoted to vice president of that organization in 1995. In 1998, Johannes was named as the leader of the Product Operations organization focusing on operational process. Subsequently, she was asked to start a new organization called Millennium Upgrade Solutions in 2003, where her team focused on ensuring superior client upgrades.
Johannes has a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Southwest Missouri State University, now currently known as Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. |
