Dr. Ray was a founder of San Diego-based The Titan Corporation, and served as its chief executive officer from its inception in 1981 to its acquisition by L-3 Communications in July 2005. Titan, a San Diego based company, was a leading provider of comprehensive information and communication products, solutions and services for the Department of Defense, intelligence and other government customers. Prior to that, he was executive vice president, general manager and a director of Science Applications International Corporation. Dr. Ray received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Tennessee in 1965; an M.S. in physics at the University of Tennessee; and a B.S. in mathematics, physics and chemistry at Murray State University in 1960. |
