Gene Shklar is an active angel investor, philanthropist, and President of the Eugene and Daymel Shklar Foundation. He has over twenty-five years of technology development and marketing expertise with database, networking, and client-server software companies. He recently retired from Keynote Systems (Nasdaq:KEYN) where he was Vice President of Public Services as well as a major investor and member of the company's Board of Directors.Gene was a founding employee and served as Executive Director of Product Marketing of Siebel Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEBL), the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. Gene also served as Vice President of Marketing for Gupta Corporation. Before that, he worked five years at Oracle Corporation as Director of Marketing for both the PC Products Division and the Networked Products Division, two years at 3Com Corporation as Director of Software Product Marketing, and seven years as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Software House, Inc., a relational-DBMS vendor acquired by CompuServe.Gene studied applied mathematics and computer science at Harvard University. |
