Geof Stapledon joined ISS through the ISS acquisition of Proxy Australia, a Melbourne-based proxy voting and governance research firm co-founded by Geof. Before moving into the governance industry full-time, Geof spent 10 years teaching corporate law, competition law and corporate governance at the University of Melbourne. During that period he also carried out several consultancies in the corporate governance field, for clients in the investment management, corporate and government sectors, as well as multilateral organizations. Prior to that, he worked as a lawyer specializing in corporate advisory work. Geof retains a part-time professorship at the University of Melbourne, has degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Adelaide, and a doctorate from the University of Oxford. |
