Geoffrey P. Melrose is a managing director in the Seattle office of Duff & Phelps. Mr. Melrose has been with Duff & Phelps since September 2001. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Melrose was a Director in the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Corporate Value Consulting Practice (CVC). Mr. Melrose had been with the CVC practice at PwC since January 1992, and in the Seattle CVC practice since 1999. Mr. Melrose has provided valuation services in many contexts including valuations related to closely held stock interests, corporate divisions and subsidiaries in connection with mergers, divestitures, acquisitions, shareholder buyouts, and employee stock ownership plans. Mr. Melrose specializes in valuations of companies in technology-related industries, the telecommunications industry, and the financial services industry, and in the valuation of intellectual property assets for a variety of industries. Furthermore, Mr. Melrose has extensive experience in providing purchase price allocations, including managing many valuations involving allocations of multi-billion-dollar transactions. He has also appeared as an expert witness on valuation matters. Mr. Melrose holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Prior to working at Duff & Phelps and PwC, Mr. Melrose was a practicing electrical/software engineer for over 4 years designing avionics equipment for Boeing�s commercial aircraft division.
