Mr. Mathes is uniquely qualified to help United pilots prepare for and make the transition from active line pilot to retiree. In addition to serving as Flight Officer on the 737, 727, 757/767 and DC10, he handled management assignments in marketing, purchasing, maintenance and station operations. Mr. Mathes also served as Chairman of the Council 12 Local Schedule Committee of the Airline Pilots Association. A carrier pilot with the U.S. Navy, he is a decorated Vietnam veteran. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. Mathes is a graduate of the Certificate Program in Financial Planning at DePaul University, is a CFP� certificant and a member of the Financial Planning Association . He is active in the Retired United Pilots Association and a member of the Retired Airline Pilots Association. |
