George J. Christopoulos is a Member of Kerr, Russell and Weber, PLC. Mr. Christopoulos specializes in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, taxation, business law and estate planning. Mr. Christopoulos regularly advises clients in a variety of areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business formation and succession planning, taxation, general corporate and real estate matters, shareholder disputes, estate planning and transactional matters. He is co-chairperson of the firm's Corporate Practice Group.
Mr. Christopoulos is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Florida, and is a Certified Public Accountant with a masters degree in taxation. Mr. Christopoulos has lectured on a variety of business law and taxation topics, is the author of many articles and publications and is a co-author of the book, "Michigan Limited Liability Companies," which is published by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education at the University of Michigan.
Mr. Christopoulos is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Florida Bar, and various sections of these bar associations, including the Business Law, Taxation, Real Property and Estate Planning sections. Mr. Christopoulos is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Christopoulos is a 1983 graduate of Wayne State University, cum laude, and received an LLM in Taxation from Wayne State University in 1987. Mr. Christopoulos is a 1979 graduate of Michigan State University, majoring in accounting.
