George M. Church is a principal in the firm's Litigation department in the Baltimore office. Mr. Church concentrates his practice in the defense of corporations, major casualty insurers and their insureds in all types of tort and commercial litigation including products liability, serious personal injury and professional malpractice. He provides advice and counsel to insurers on coverage and related issues and the representation of insurers, brokers and agents in adversarial and non-adversarial proceedings. Mr. Church also acts as lead counsel for a national insurer in various class action lawsuits. Before joining Miles & Stockbridge, Mr. Church was a founding shareholder of Church Loker & Silver, P.A. from 1989 through May 2003 and was a partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, where he was employed from 1976 to 1989. Mr. Church also was an assistant professor in the School of Business at the University of Baltimore teaching business and law-related courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
