George Lesley graduated from San Jos� State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. The early part of his accounting career included seven years with a western states regional certified public accounting firm.
In 1976, Mr. Lesley, along with Mr. Postma, formed Lesley, Thomas, Schwarz & Postma, Inc., Certified Public Accountants.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lesley has provided a full spectrum of business planning and consulting services to closely held businesses to improve their profitability and cash flow. Mr. Lesley works closely with many individual business owners regarding a variety of strategic business planning issues.
In addition, Mr. Lesley heads the firm's Litigation Support/Forensic Accounting services. He frequently testifies in court and in arbitrations as an expert accounting witness on the financial, accounting and income tax issues of business litigation cases, mainly involving business interruption, lost profits, and contractual dispute issues.
Mr. Lesley, who is a Certified Valuation Analyst, also frequently serves as an expert witness regarding the valuation of closely held businesses and professional practices in marital dissolution cases. He also testifies on related issues of business profits, cash flow, separate property issues, and the income tax issues in family law cases.
Mr. Lesley is a Past President and active member of the Exchange Club of Newport Harbor, a national service club. Mr. Lesley is also very active in his alumni associations and support groups for Newport Harbor High School. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Litigation Services Section of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. |
