George M. Scalise has served as a director of Cadence since 1989. Mr. Scalise has served as President of the Semiconductor Industry Association an association of semiconductor manufacturers and suppliers since June 1997. Mr. Scalise served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from January 2000 until December 2005 including as Deputy Chairman from January 2001 to March 2003 and as Chairman from March 2003 to December 2005. Mr. Scalise also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Apple Computer Inc. from March 1996 to may 1997. Mr. Scalise also served as Senior Vice President of Planning and Development and Chief Administrative Officer of National Semiconductor Corporation from 1991 to 1996. Mr. Scalise currently serves on President George W. Bush's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
