Mr. Slater brings 45 years of banking experience, including serving as chairman, president and CEO of Wisconsin�s $5 billion Marine Corporation and later on as vice chairman and director of Bank One Corporation, now JP Morgan Chase. Most recently, he founded Marine Bank & Trust Company and served as its first chairman/CEO from 1997 to 2002. Prior to becoming a banker in 1960, Mr. Slater was an instructor of economics at Purdue University where he earned his doctorate. He was an artillery officer during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre and Japanese occupation. |
